Streetscape
A quietly atmospheric painting depicting a narrow village street in Culross winding into the distance, framed by characterful stone buildings. On the left, a striking terracotta-red building anchors the composition, its warm tones contrasting beautifully with the pale whitewashed cottages that line the right-hand side of the road.

In Red is a contemporary series of figurative paintings exploring the shift from childhood into adolescence. Inspired by my two teenage children, the works capture quiet, fleeting moments from this in-between stage of life — where identity, independence, and emotion begin to take shape.

Kristin Lockyer is a Canadian-born artist living in Hereford, England, whose work is rooted in the quiet drama of the Scottish Highlands. Painting has been a lifelong passion — a return to stillness amid the everyday. Her atmospheric landscapes and intimate figurative works are collected across the UK and beyond, with originals selling alongside a growing range of fine art prints.
